A professional cleaner has declared a $35 mop from Kmart one of the best cleaning tools he's used, calling the budget buy 'magic' and giving it a 'perfect 10' for hygiene.
Jason Shipway, a Perth-based cleaner known for tackling heavy-duty messes in residential, commercial, and industrial cleans, recently took to social media to review the Dual Section Spin Mop Set - and he was seriously impressed.
'As a professional cleaner, I never thought I'd be in love with a mop from Kmart,' he began.
'This mop caught my eye while I was shopping at Kmart the other day so I just had to try it - and it's only $35.'
The mop comes with a flat mop head, two microfibre pads, and a dual-chambered bucket that separates clean and dirty water - a feature many say is a 'game changer.'
'This is like magic,' Jason said.
'I don't know how they do this, I don't know how it works, but to me it's incredible.'
Jason said he bought the mop while preparing for a particularly challenging job.

'I decided to buy this mop because I was doing a post-build clean,' he explained.
'Because it has a flat mop head, it glides over all these wall surfaces so easily.'
He also tested it on a range of floor surfaces and had 'no issue whatsoever' with its performance.
'It was also great for getting into harder to reach areas [like underneath cabinets],' he added.
'The pole swivels really well and it just seems to want to work with you.'
The most impressive feature, in his opinion, was how the mop system handled dirty water.
'The magic part is if you take out the water chamber, underneath is all the dirty water that you've rung out, but your water chamber stays completely clean,' he said.
'You can just tip out the dirty water, clean the bucket, and keep going.

'This mop gets a ten out of ten for cross-contamination and hygiene. It cleans really well, it's efficient, it's affordable.'
'As a professional cleaner, I would definitely say this dual section spin mop from Kmart is a great get for around the house.'
The mop has also won over everyday Australians, who've left five-star reviews and shared their own rave experiences.
'I really like this mop. It's easy to use on floors and walls. It's great that you're not spinning in dirty water as clean and dirty are separated. Would definitely purchase again,' one shopper wrote.
'It's awesome. Best thing for this older person,' said another.
A third added: 'This made a bond clean so much easier on the walls. The teeth on top of the water chamber pull all hair and dirt straight out so no stray hairs are left behind. I also have one for my own home and it's amazing for my tiled floors - leaves no spot marks behind at all!'
Of course, a few users offered some practical caveats.
'Just don't use it with boiling water. It will warp the lid,' one commenter warned.
Another added: 'Kmart mops are great until they discontinue a product and you can't get new mop heads.'
Still, most agreed it's hard to fault the mop at this price point.
'Kmart, take my money,' a shopper wrote.
